Today in class we started to learn about the Quadratic Formula in section 10-4A. The homework is the 10-4A worksheet. The kids also took a quiz today, which they will get back and we'll go over on Tuesday. The scores should be posted by tonight though in the online gradebook.

Today in class we related solutions of quadratics to the factoring we did back in chapter 9. The homework today was both sides of the 10-2A worksheet. One side of it requires use of the textbook.

Welcome back from Spring Break! Today we started the first half of chapter 10 by covering section 10-1A, graphing quadratics. The assignment is a worksheet and students need to do numbers 1, 4, 5, 7 and 9.

Today was the Chapter 9 Retake test. Those tests will be graded and recorded in the online gradebook before the end of the school day today. The only thing you need for class tomorrow is something to write with. We will be doing an in class activity tomorrow to start the first part of Chapter 10. I will probably not post anything on here tomorrow and there is no homework over Spring Break. Rest up over Spring Break and come back ready to finish the year off strong.

All hour today we worked on peer teaching and students helped each other prepare for the retake test tomorrow in class. The retake score counts no matter what and it is not multiple choice, so if you got below a 75% on the Form A test for Chapter 9 make sure you study tonight and are ready to pass the retake test tomorrow.

Today in class we did some more practice with factoring and we checked our tests. Tomorrow we will be doing some peer tutoring in preparation for the retake test on Wednesday.

Today in class I had a sub in for me. The sub gave the kids the Chapter 9 test. The tests for the students that finished it have been graded and inserted in the gradebook. The rest I should have in on Monday once the kids finish it. There was a writing assignment for the kids to do after the test or over the weekend. The writing assignment will be due on Monday.

Today we did some more factoring and solving of trinomials and we also went over the quiz from yesterday. The homework tonight is optional. It is recommended to help you prepare for the test tomorrow, but it is up to you whether or not you choose to do it. It is 9-6 p.512 #18, 19, 21, 22, 25-28, 43-46.

Today in class we did notes on 9-5 and then took an open note quiz. The homework tonight is 9-5 p.504 #5, 6, 9, 16, 18, 20, 34-36. All late work is due by the end of the day tomorrow (Thursday).

Today in class we covered section 9-3A and the homework was a worksheet. We will finish 9-3 tomorrow and have a quiz tomorrow as well. Also, I will not be in school tomorrow, so I expect good behavior for the substitute teacher. I want a good note left by the sub. The quizzes you take Friday will not be graded until Monday night since I will be out of town all weekend.

Today we started class with a Self-Evaluation that will be used during parent teacher conferences next week. We took some short notes on section 8-6 and had plenty of time in class to find out if you had any missing work, to ask questions and to get a head start on the homework. Peer tutoring is what we did in class today to get extra practice for tomorrow's retake test. All students who scored below 75% must retake tomorrow. The retake test score counts whether it is higher or lower than the original, so study hard and try your best. The test is NOT multiple choice.

Yesterday we took the Ch. 6 Test. Today we did correctives and peer teaching in class in preparation for the retake test tomorrow. If retaking, you need to complete the correctives tonight and everyone should be working on their review packet.
